ABOUT US!
The Picker's Parlor is owned and operated by Amanda Graham.

Amanda was born and raised in Cass County and graduated from Anita
High School. She then graduated from Grand View College in Des
Moines with a bachelor's in nursing and spent 14 years in the healthcare
field. She decided to take the jump from part-time junker to full-time
business owner in 2015 and The Picker's Parlor was born.

Amanda and her husband, Ryan, live in the country in an old farmhouse
they completely renovated in 2013. No stranger to projects, they then
tackled the building now home to Picker's and three years later, added
a building project in downtown Atlantic, now home to The Franklin
Market. Ryan and Amanda have three kids: Aubrey, Astelle, and Eli, who
keep them busy on top of everything else. If there ever is any spare time,
they spend it camping, boating, or getting away for a break.
The Picker's Parlor truly is a family affair. Amanda's mom and dad, Eldon and Kris Dorsey, are often helping out in the shop, from working at the counter, to doing online auction work, to helping with building needs and repair. Amanda's children can often be seen helping and hanging out, and although Ryan stays busy with his own career, he helps out when he can.

"We want you to enjoy your experience at the Parlor, as much as we love being there. It is our home away from home, and we hope you'll come visit us often-" Amanda.
